Cada paso adelante se debe, sin duda, a muchos otros pasos adelante dados por predecesores y no supone m\u00e1s que el inicio del paso que vendr\u00e1 inevitablemente despu\u00e9s. La ciencia es una aventura colectiva, y si con tanta frecuencia nos empe\u00f1amos en buscar h\u00e9roes individuales, personajes tot\u00e9micos que jalonen el devenir de la historia del conocimiento humano es, simplemente, por ese af\u00e1n mit\u00f3mano que nos une a todos los miembros de la especie Homo sapiens.
